Vorne XL Options

Wireless Scanners

The standard scanner supplied with the XL Sytem is a simple tethered 1D RS-232 device which allows downtime reason codes to be scanned off a selection sheet at one point.

To allow scanning of barcodes at the point of failure, a wireless scanner can also be supplied. The Operator can then move to the point on his line where the problem has occurred, solve the problem and scan the downtime reason code before returning to his work station and re-starting the line.

Simple Operator Interface Controllers

To further simplify installation and use of the XL System we have developed a stand alone controller box that simply plugs into the Vorne Unit with an umbilical wiring harness. This allows one touch operation for manual settings such as switching the system to standby or setup or manually entering rejects (only needed if no reject sensor is used). This controller also comes pre-wired for installation of a wireless router and a barcode scanner (the power supply and interfaces for both devices are pre-installed)

XL Bolt-On OPC Server

If you wish to connect your Vorne XL system directly to OPC tags in your plant control system, a pre-configured XL Bolt-On OPC Server is available from us. This OPC Server is 100% compatible with the Vorne XL system, making configuration very easy. Simply search for your control tags and link them to the Vorne XL tags which are all pre-configured in the server.

Mobile Interface

As part of Vorne’s Data Anywhere, Data Everywhere™ initiative, a broad range of live production data can be viewed in real-time on iPhone® and iPod® touch devices, including instantaneous line down annunciation.

XL Bolt-On Data Collector

If you need to automatically export data from multiple Vorne XL systems into a SQL database, a pre-configured XL Bolt-On Data Collector is also available. Like the OPC Server, configuration is very simple.
